Abstract

In molecular communication based on drift diffusion (MCD2), a fixed threshold detection(FTD) method is usually used to demodulate information. Since molecules are easily accumulate in the channel to produce strong internal symbol interference (ISI). If the receiver nanomachine continue to take FTD to decode information, the receiver nanomachine will generate high bit error rate(BER) for the process of decoding information. In this paper, a monotone detection algorithm(MDA) is proposed to reduce BER to improve the reliability of MCD2. And we also analyze the influence of different time slots on BER. Furthermore, we compare the BER performance of decoding information between FTD and MDA. The results show that the performance of MDA is better than FTD method in reducing the BER.
