Abstract

In this work, a novel three-dimensional (3D) complex [Zn2(bta)(ppda)]n(1) (H4bta = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, ppda = p-phenylenediamine) has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition. Complex 1 exhibits high sensitivities towards the nitroaromatics (NACs) and Fe3+ ions in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) solution via fluorescence quenching. Specially, 1 as a fluorescence probe for sensing the Fe3+ ions has a large quenching coefficient Ksv of 8.823 × 106M−1 and a low limit of detection (LOD) of 4.664 × 10−4μM.
