Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article presents a modified unequal power divider with a complex isolation component for enhanced physical and electrical isolation between output ports. In the proposed power divider, the complex isolation component is positioned at an arbitrary phase angle inside a quarter‐wave transmission line. A theoretical analysis is performed to derive the design equations for the proposed unequal power divider. For validating the performance of the proposed unequal power divider, samples of the device operating at the center frequency of 2 GHz were fabricated and tested. The test results are in good agreement with the simulation results. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 57:322–324, 2015
