Abstract
Abstract Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) ruptures can lead to recurrent knee instability, meniscal tears, and articular cartilage degeneration. To restore the stability of the knee, the procedure of ACL reconstruction is always needed. Most surgeons prefer an autogenous graft for ACL reconstruction. However, the advantages of different grafts are still under debate. We performed ACL reconstruction with modified press-fit fixation on 101 patients and selected autogenous tendon grafts based on the patients' specific condition. Ninety-eight patients were followed up for a mean of 3.5 years, and the knee functions were significantly improved in 85.7% of the patients according to the knee functional scale.
