Abstract
The RSA cryptosystem, introduced by Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman [1], is a widely renowned public-key encryption method. Over the years, researchers have proposed numerous variants of RSA, with the goal of enhancing its efficiency by reducing computation costs in encryption or decryption processes [2]. This paper provides a comprehensive summary of the RSA algorithm and its variants, focusing on techniques aimed at improving the speed of the RSA cryptosystem. Additionally, categorizes these variants into two classes and presents two new modified key generation algorithms for the Rebalanced-RSA and the RPower-RSA. The proposed key generation algorithm improves the encryption process compared to the original variants and achieves a more balanced computing effort for both encryption and decryption.
