Abstract

In this paper the investigation has been made to propose a modified scheme for reversible digital image watermarking for spatial domain framework. In this suggested scheme, input image is divided into 4 X 4 blocks. To embed a more image in terms of watermark into a cover image L-level scalar Quantization method is applied. Further, to compress the remainder of the cover image we have proposed algebraic mean method to make it more robust. Reversible Watermarking is an important category of watermarking schemes, It not only can make stronger the ownership of the original media but also can completely recover the original media from the watermarked media. This type of lossless recovery is compulsory in sensitive imaging like medical and military images, because these kinds of imagery do not allow any losses. The aim of this paper is to define the purpose of reversible watermarking and reflecting its performance over copyright and security to digital image.
