Abstract
Arterial dye dilution curves after injection of cardiogreen into the pulmonary artery (PA), the pulmonary wedge position (PW), and the left atrium (LA) were recorded in six closed-chest anaesthetized dogs. Pulmonary mean transit times computed from PA and PW or from PA and LA curves were comparable and yielded comparable pulmonary blood volumes.
