Abstract

A new color video watermarking algorithm is proposed in this paper. Digital contents of digital videos are affected due to illegal reproduction and invalid redistribution of digital media. In literature, several approaches have been proposed to resolve this problem; embedding digital watermark is one among them. However, the effectiveness of the watermarks themselves is affected by various types of attacks. Proposed algorithm is based on DWT transforms. The LSB method is used to hide the data in the least significant bit of the “Original video” pixels. Imperceptibility, embedding capacity and robustness are the parameters for this technique. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm achieves these parameters in their acceptable range i.e. imperceptibility is high, embedding capacity is also high in noisy environment and highly robust to a wide range of attacks, e.g. salt & pepper noise, rotation, cropping & median filtering as compared to existing watermarking methods.
