Abstract
In an earlier paper (Gurdial and Taneja, 1975), the authors obtained bounds on the probability of erasure and error by modifying Forney's scheme for multiple decoding involving distortion. In this follow-up paper, bounds on distortion due to erasure and error have been obtained under the modified “maximum likelihood double decoding scheme involving distortion.”
