Abstract

This paper studied the cooperative guidance problem for a group of hypersonic reentry vehicles with the coordination of impact angle and relative distance. As is well established, the most salient challenge of the underlying problem is how to perform, with minimal effort, the bank reversal as well as angle-of-attack profiles to ensure the desired formation. Toward this, we formulate the problem as a clear reflection of the optimized sequences of bank reversals under the guideline of quasi-equilibrium gliding principle. Then, we proceed to introduce an augmented model predictive algorithm to strike a balance between efficiency and precision in the planned objectives. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
