Abstract

An algorithm for solving the three-dimensional Schrodinger equation of elastic scattering with no conservation of angular momentum is considered. Solutions are given for an axially symmetric case using the elastic scattering of atomic and molecular beams by a Fresnel plate. The possibility of focusing the beams is demonstrated. Resonance effects for molecular beams are studied.
