Abstract
We propose to consider emission signals of different physical nature within the framework of a common generalized model of random impulsive stream. We develop an algorithm for the detection and selec- tion of the informative component of emission light signals in the presence of interference during its photoelectric recording. We also present the block diagram of a device aimed at the selection of light emission signals and realizing the proposed algorithm. The processes of deformation and fracture in solids lead to the appearance of a series of nonequilibrium processes, namely, the emission of elastic waves (acoustic emission (AE)), the electromagnetic emission of waves in radiofrequency, infrared, optical, and X-ray bandwidths, and the emission of neutral or charged parti- cles: atoms, electrons, ions, etc. (1-12). The emission of each physical nature is induced by a certain mecha- nism of generation and the electric signals corresponding to these types of emission has its own informative pa- rameters. In view of these facts, emission signals often serve as a basis for the high-efficient procedures and means of complex nondestructive testing and diagnostics of the state of various structural elements and products operating under the conditions of commercial production (2). It is of especial importance to use these methods in the stag- es of crack initiation and in the early stages of their growth.
