Abstract
SUMMARY The model for the formation of Pastoral Care Specialists in this article is inclusive of a broader and integrative formation process in an urban, multicultural, religious, and racial diverse context. The model is intentional in developing a keen awareness of and sensitivity to the realities of urban life and the critical role it plays in the formation and the emergence of the Pastoral Care Specialist's identity.
