Abstract

When masses of gas gather to the horizontal wellbore, the high speed turbulent flow inside the artificial fractures will cause an additional pseudopressure drop. Therefore, the deliverability equation of a fractured horizontal well should be regarded as nonlinear in the tight gas reservoir. Considering the effect of non-Darcy percolation combined with the flowing interference of fractures, this article derives a new binomial deliverability equation for the tight gas reservoir, and gives a new method for predicting the productivity. Field data validate its feasibility and accuracy. In addition, the factors influencing the productivity are presented in this article.
