Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology, English education plays an important role in the development of China and the promotion of China's international status. English is one of the main subjects in many schools. According to the requirements of the new English curriculum standards, attention should be paid to cultivating students' comprehensive ability of using English language in primary school to achieve the best effect of English teaching. Based on the smart phone platform, a set of English pronunciation training system with multiple functions, such as pronunciation follow-up, pronunciation evaluation and pronunciation correction, is developed by using related speech recognition technology. Besides the usual pronunciation score, it also provides error detection function based on phoneme association and phoneme recognition. Combining the improvement suggestions of correcting knowledge base with prosody correcting pronunciation can help learners in time. The results show that the pronunciation scoring accuracy of this system is high, and the effective rate of pronunciation correction reaches 80%, which can help learners improve their pronunciation level.
