Abstract

Spatial reasoning is one of the most important area of artificial intelligence. Current research on qualitative spatial representation and reasoning usually focuses on one single aspect of space. However, In real world applications, several aspects involved together is more expressive. This paper improves the interior-boundary direction relation model and proposes a combinative model to represent the combination of topological and directional relations. We also give the formal expression—D-direction relation matrix for this model. At the end, we propose a method for consistency checking of combinative relations.
