Abstract
A new mixed-valence vanadium phosphate [(C 6H 16N 2) 3(VO)(V 2O 4) 2(PO 4) 4 · 2H 2O] with novel 7-numbered rings has been hydrothermally synthesized. Single-crystal X-ray analysis shows that layered compound I consists of two kinds of 1-D chain. The alternate linkages of the two chains form a novel 3, 6, 7-net.
