Abstract

Women with heart disease are frequent users of health care services and are at risk for impaired health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The benefits of mobile health interventions in healthcare are compelling; they offer connectivity and provide access to information and support for individuals who are difficult to reach. No mobile smartphone or web-based intervention has been rigorously developed and tested for women who have heart disease. The purpose of this program of research is to develop and test a progressive WebApp to provide evidence-informed symptom triage, tailored education, and support to reduce cardiac pain/symptoms and increase HRQoL in women with heart disease.
