Abstract
In this paper a mixed formulation for the elastoplastic torsion problem is given. This formulation is discretized with the finite elements of Raviart & Thomas (1977) and error estimates are obtained. For solving the (non-linear) approximated problem an iterative algorithm is proposed and analysed.
