Abstract

In this conference, we present a metamaterial inspired a regular triangular coplanar waveguide (CPW) UWB structure for dual band-filter characteristics. Initially, the frequency range operating is from 4GHz to 12 GHz. To supress the undesired WLAN (5-6GHz) and X-band (downlink) of satellite communication systems operating in the range of 7.25 to 7.75 GHz signals, we are loaded a single split ring resonator (SRR) and a symmetrical dual T-shaped slot metamaterials in the CPW ground plane respectively. The performance and results of the proposed slotted notch antenna are simulated and optimized both by CST Microwave Studio and Ansoft HFSS. To further analyze the effects of the T-shaped and SRR slots, the surface current distribution is used. The antenna gain againts frequency signal is good except the suppressed band regions while its value is negative.
