Abstract

This chapter explores the constructivist connections between Buddhist psychology and family therapy theoretical foundations, including six key concepts: emptiness, interdependence, nonself, impermanence, not knowing, and compassion. In addition, the chapter outlines nine principles of mindfully oriented couple and family therapy that derived from these fundamental concepts.
