Abstract

A fully microscopic study of the proton radiative capture on 19F with excitation of the multipole resonances in 20Ne is presented. The calculation makes use of a version of the Feshbach formalism of nuclear reactions. The bound states are described as linear combinations of angular momentum projected one particle — one hole configurations in a deformed Hartree-Fock basis. The agreement for the 90° yields with the experimental data is excellent. Gross features as well as intermediate structures are nicely reproduced.
