Abstract

A method was developed for determination of metals in samples of some few micrograms in weight. Samples were wet-oxidized in small test tubes and an aliquot of the sample was automatically injected in a carbon-rod atomizer. Precision and recovery was good for the analytical procedure. Application of the method to analysis of soil invertebrates showed a considerable variation in metal concentration between individuals from the same habitat.
