Abstract

AbstractMicrocomputer literacy training models are becoming increasingly important to school district computer literacy training efforts. This study identified the administrative microcomputer training needs, school administrators’ attitudes toward microcomputer use, barriers and facilitators influencing administrative use of microcomputers, organizational factors needed to support such a change, and training delivery preferences and learning styles. Based on the data, an administrative microcomputer literacy training paradigm was designed which included cognitive, proficiency, intrinsic, and extrinsic goals, a training format, and change strategies.
