Abstract
The design of an inexpensive but flexible transient digitiser is described. The device is intended for installation in one of the peripheral expansion slots of a general purpose microcomputer, and obtains an eight-bit digitisation rate of 1 MHz with a unipolar input range of 0 to -5 V and a temporal acquisition window of 2 ms.
