Abstract

A new 3D supermolecular coordination polymer [Mg(H2TPTC)2·2H2O]n (1) was synthesized under solvothermal condition by a rigid rich electronic ligand H4TPTC ([1:1′:4′,1″-terphengl]-3,3″,5,5″-tetracarboxylic) and Mg(II) ion. Complex 1 presents an excellent fluorescent Mg-MOF sensor for highly sensitive and selective detecting TNP, the Ksv is up to 3.869 × 104 M−1. Furthermore, complex 1 can be quickly regenerated by simple washing with acetonitrile, exhibiting good recyclability for detecting TNP. The quench mechanisms of complex 1 for sensing nitro aromatic explosives were studied as well.
