Abstract
Due to economic and environmental considerations, energy consumption by subway trains has attracted wide attention. This paper proposes a forecast model of train traction power consumption based on 24-hour dynamic passenger flow. The model considers the influence of passenger mass on traction energy consumption. Besides calculating the power consumption, the train traction transmission system’s equivalent circuit model is introduced in the power load forecasting model. Finally, a Beijing metro line was selected for the case study. The simulation results show that the proposed prediction model can improve traction power consumption accuracy compared with the traditional method, and the error of traction power load forecasting is within 5%.
