Abstract

Abstract This paper presents a methodology for numerical assessment of the aviation safety performance of a military flight unit and its safety condition, taking into account the human factor impact. The research is based on the assessment of two interrelated groups of indicators concerning the flight safety condition of each flight unit – pre-flight safety performance used during the mission planning and preparedness phase, and in-flight safety performance linked to the execution phase of the mission ordered. The methodology is adaptive and has potential to be improved if necessary.
