Abstract
What would our environmental future look like? What types of resources will be in store for us in coming decades? How do we narrate our common ecological prospects? These are some of the critical questions that have been attempted to be answered in various forums. An important forum is the Global Environmental volumes of UNEP. GEO 3 has devoted its chapter 4 titled, Outlook to scenarios development, and the ongoing GEO 4 has devoted chapter 9 titled, The Future Today to the same exercise. This paper presents a methodological framework of Scenarios development, with the exposition of the one that has been followed for Chapter 9 in GEO 4.
