Abstract
A procedure has been developed for incubating early stage mammalian embryos within the early chick amniotic cavity. Normal embryonic growth and development following extended culture in the chick embryo amnion has been verified by the live birth of transferred caprine embryos. This method is a simple and inexpensive alternative to in vitro and in vivo methods currently used for culturing mammalian embryos prior to transfer.
