Abstract

The mechanism of FOG’s (fiber optic gyroscope) RRW (rate random walk) is not clear; there are few researches on the estimation of FOG’s RRW coefficient based on orbit data. A data processing method based on the combination of on-board and on-ground processing is proposed; the integral angle of long period can be obtained by on-board processing; the RRW coefficient is estimated by Allan variance method by on-ground processing; the problem of large estimation error caused by long RRW correlation time is solved. The identification of RRW correlation time is given based on Allan variance curve; the calculation of the standard deviation of integral angle error is given; correctness of the coefficient estimation is proved by comparative analysis.
