Abstract

THE study of the temperature coefficient of ultrasonic absorption in liquids is of fundamental importance for an understanding of the particular molecular mechanism responsible for the phenomena observed. The dependence of absorption in liquids on temperature has been studied by a number of workers by taking measurements of absorption at different temperatures by the pulse method1 and by the interferometer method2.
