Abstract
Requirements for parameters of automated cab-signaling signals with time-division channeling are given. The minimal shunt-circuit current for track circuits of an automated cab-signaling system during time division of the track-circuit control channel from a channel of data transmission from the tracks to the locomotive is selected. A calculation has been made to show the possibility of a providing cab-signaling regime for different configurations of equivalent networks of track circuits for the selected current in the standard and shunt operating regimes of the track circuit. At the same time, there is no need to increase the power of transmission equipment to provide a cab-signaling regime. It is shown that data can be transmitted to the locomotive when the front of the train is on a polled track circuit or on a polled track circuit adjacent to the feeding end. It has been found, however, that the possibility to receive cab-signaling signals is severely restricted when the front of the train is on the polled track circuit adjacent to the relay end. The proposed procedure makes it possible to select values of cab-signaling current for different carrying frequencies.
