Abstract

The Method-of-Moments (MoM) technique is proposed for pattern synthesis in linear and planar antenna arrays. This method is exercised for a low side lobe level objective in linear and planar antenna arrays, considering both electromagnetic coupling and mutual coupling between the array elements. This method deduces the optimized excitation coefficients for the array elements. Various case studies have been taken up for different array configurations. The performance of the proposed technique on linear and planar antenna arrays is reported in terms of SLL and field strength deviation. In order to validate the proposed method, simulation results are compared with the established swarm techniques, which shows the superiority of the proposed method.
