Abstract

Airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is easily affected by noise interference in complex electromagnetic environment. Thus, the resolution of SAR is greatly affected, and even it can’t be imaged. Aiming at the typical SAR noise interference, an interference suppression method based on blind signal separation (BSS) is studied in this paper. Firstly, the multi-component signal obtained by SAR is processed by the joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (JADE). Then the statistical characteristics of the signals of multiple channels can be calculated to identify the noise interference and the echo signal. Simulation results show that the algorithm has a good effect on noise interference suppression. When signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) > −10dB, the similarity coefficient between separate signal and source signal is over 0.8.
