Abstract

A system for recording the information on carbon film typewriter ribbons is described. Ribbons are passed in front of a shuttered camera and recorded on video tape for later transcription and/or examination. The procedure eliminates excessive handling of the tape. Use of the shuttered camera permits the images to be recorded at higher speeds than with a conventional camera.
