Abstract

The pose measurement of space non-cooperative targets is a key technology for approaching, flying around, and manipulating space targets. This paper presents a method for the attitude representation of non-cooperative targets in space based on laser point cloud data, and demonstrates the effectiveness and practically of the method from the basic principles , the ability of the method to characterize targets’ attitude, and the anti-noise performance of the method to resist measurement noise of point cloud. This attitude characterization method realizes the extraction and concise from massive point cloud data of space non-cooperative targets to attitude information, and lays a foundation for the subsequent intelligent, stable, and real-time pose measurement.
