Abstract
This paper outlines a method for real-time analysis of laser modes using a pure phase spatial light modulator. This process involves encoding a set of orthogonal bases into a digital hologram using complex amplitude modulation. This process involves decomposing a set of standard orthogonal basis functions into an initial field by encoding complex amplitude modulation into a digital hologram. This method allows any function to be encoded and refreshed in real time (60 Hz). We achieved the decomposition of the guided modes propagating in the fiber and showed that we were able to reconstruct the observed field well.
