Abstract
Glutamate (Glu) dysfunction is common in neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, and likely contributes to alterations in behavioral and cognitive functioning across the lifespan. Yet, the extant literature measuring brain Glu in vivo has yet to offer comprehensive and quantitative summaries across the normal lifespan or across neuropsychiatric disorders.
