Abstract
Abstract The escalating rates of gonorrhea globally are associated with higher numbers of disseminated gonococcal infection (DGI). Expression of the PorB1A allele of the major outer membrane porin protein, PorB, is associated with DGI. This meta-analysis shows the odds of PorB1A strains to disseminate is 20.53 compared to PorB1B isolates.
