Abstract

A memristor-based chaotic circuit, by replacing the non-monotone current-controlled hysteresis resistor in Satio's circuit with a charge-controlled memristor, is presented in this letter. Based on the proposed chaotic circuit, a new chaotic secure communication system is developed by using adaptive synchronization. With this method, the original signal is modulated indirectly into the system parameter and can be successfully retrieved when the synchronization of the two identical chaotic systems occurs. Chaotic behaviors and the effectiveness of the secure communication scheme are verified by numerical simulations.
