Describes the history and planning of the Helen Keller Centennial Congress, who attended and what they did, and discusses the main themes that emerged. Abo includes discussions by American Foundation for the Blind staff members of specific topics the Congress covered: “The Early Years” by Susan Jay Spungin, Ed.D., director of national consultants; “The Working Years” by Henry Stern, national consultant for employment, and Mark Uslan, national consultant for mobility; “The Later Years” by Marion V. Wurster, director of regional consultants; “Rights, Privileges and Responsibilities” by Barbara McGarry, legislative analyst.
