Abstract

AbstractThe results obtained clinically with a new circular stapling clamp for end‐to‐end, end‐to‐side, or side‐to‐side anastomosis are described. This clamp is especially indicated for esophagogastric, esophagojejunal, esophagocolonic, or enteroenteral anastomoses. The instrument creates an anastomosis that is held by a double, staggered row of stainless steel wire staples. It is extremely easy to use, saves time and, creates better anastomoses than those achieved with hand suturing.
