A max-min average method for solving fuzzy transportation problems with mixed constraints involving generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a max-min average method to find the solution of transportation problems with mixed constraints under fuzzy environment. Here all the decision parameters are assumed to be generalized trapezoidal fuzzy numbers (GTrFN). Using the location index and fuzziness index representation of fuzzy numbers the optimal solution of the fuzzy transportation problem(FTP) is obtained. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the suitability and effectiveness of the offered method.
