Abstract

The problem of the freezing of a water-saturated porous medium is considered. It is shown that using the assumptions of the existence of a phase transition front and of the dependence of the temperature of crystallization of the water on the pressure results in supercooling in some domain of parameters. To construct a solution that does not allow supercooling, a two-phase zone model is introduced.
