Abstract
Demolition by controlled blasting becomes an important technique in China in many urban demolition projects. However, it appears to be difficult to control the result of field practices while technical design work is conducted only on the basis of personal experience. In an effort to improve the current situation and to develop a more reliable design method, a mathematical model for the technical design for demolition of tubular structures by means of controlled blasting is presented and some examples are demonstrated in this paper.
