Abstract

A mathematical model is developed for the pneumatic drying process. Important variables such as gas temperature and humidity, solids loadings, gas and solid velocities and consequently the heat and mass transfer coefficients are incorporated into the analysis. The study on the coupling behaviors as well as the effects of parameters provides many design criteria applicable to an actual drying process.
