Abstract
G proteins are conserved eukaryotic signal transducers that play crucial roles in plant development and responses to environmental stimuli. In this issue of Cell Host & Microbe, Ma etal. (2022) discover a plant-specific family of kinases that act as bona fide nuclear effectors for G-protein signaling during plant immune activation.
