Abstract
This paper reports the results concerning the production of Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) plasma jet at atmospheric pressure, and its electrical, optical and thermal characterization. The discharge was produced by applying high voltage sinusoidal wave source of frequency 28 kHz and potential difference of 7.5kV peak to peak across the electrodes. The discharge was characterized by measuring current, voltage and power. The optical characterization was made by taking the spectrum of discharge by optical emission spectrometer. The optical spectra in the range of 200nm to 600nm have been analyzed. The thermal characterization was made by measuring the argon gas temperature at different gas flow and distances from the end of the plasma tube.
