Abstract

This project presents a Low power dual stage active boost and buck inverter topology for wide-range input, which realizes both buck and boost operation. Here the buck-boost voltage inverter receives an unregulated input voltage and generates an increased or decreased regulation output voltage, where the target output voltage is set by component values in the circuit. Both boost and buck operation is composed of active switches, which improves power density and efficiency. Here the boost operation is performed using DC/DC and AC/AC from a low voltage using active components. And the buck operation can be realized by the help of full bridge. When the input voltage is more than the requirement, this inverter operates in the buck mode. It steps down the voltage as desired. And when the input voltage is low which is not enough to get to the desired output, the inverter operates in the boost mode.
